Carter King of South Carolina made online poker headlines in September 2008 when he 5-way chopped the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event for $1,265,432! He eventually placed 1st in the event; capturing the WCOOP Main Event bracelet in the process. This became the largest online tournament cash by a PocketFiver in this site's history. This took place only four months after his 6th place finish in the FTOPS $2,500 event for $101k. He also has a runner-up performance in the PokerStars $100 Sunday freezeout for $34k along with a final table appearance in the Sunday Million for $19k.
